ExifZero Terms of use
Last updated 2026-11-03
The service
ExifZero is a free tool that reads and removes metadata from image files in your browser. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Keep a copy of your originals; we are not liable for lost or altered files.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the service lawfully. In particular, you will not use it to:
- remove copyright management information from works you do not own or have no right to modify;
- hide that content is AI-generated where a law, platform rule, contract or publication standard requires you to disclose it;
- deceive people about the origin of an image in order to defraud, defame or harm them.
Accuracy
AI and privacy findings are based only on the metadata present in a file. Metadata can be missing, edited or forged, and C2PA signatures are displayed without being cryptographically verified. Do not rely on the results as proof.
